Man, remember when Rihanna was like this?

She really got it figured out. Or as it was put to me tonight.

Yeah, she figured out a way to cover the enormous forehead and she just blossomed. - Jabice C.

Is this what popular sexuality is now? Look at that cafe racer! But what do the pink flamingos mean then? And how much did Chris Brown's dick shrivel after watching this video?

The masterminds behind the construction of the Gingerbread Barrio are Scot and Coleman of The Living Art Studio in Northampton, MA. These photos were taken in 2007 and show the Barrio as it was before some type of rodent or creature ate the top floor of the high rise and one of the houses. Reconstruction has begun and a recent Twinkie trailer park has popped up nearby.

So a week ago I log onto Boston.com and staring me in the face is an article about this phenomena called "Sleeveface" and the book that was just released.

My initial reaction?

"MUTHAFUCKA!"

I was a bit salty to find out that something I had been doing since at least 2005 (according to the date on an early "Sleeveface" of mine that's on Myspace) was about to allow some dudes (who began doing it themselves last year) to get caked up through a book deal. I recall AIM conversations with Keter, Element and other music/art geeks about making it something bigger, involving groups of people, using it for a music video, etc. etc. but I never ran with it.

So yeah. I suck.

So I fired off an email to Boston.com along with some pics for the Sleeveface contest they had, knowing that my OG Sleevefaces would win...and they did. Well one did. Cosby.

I'm a little less salty, and feel a bit of vindication. Perhaps I can get some of my pics published in the next Sleeveface book. We shall see. If anything this has made me want to take some more pics (I've gotten a bit lazy) and also to follow through with some of ridiculous ideas I have in my brain.

Oh and BIG UP El Keter for being the photographer/producer behind the winning shot.

This is Nigel. He's ten. He wrote this song and made this video as part of an afterschool program in Montreal.

He's my new personal hero.

There's more info about Nigel and his crazy electronica in the latest issue of Naked Eye Magazine, a magazine based out of Canada.

Sarcasm and FOOD. Sign me up!

I'm posting a tantalizing selection of drawings by Chicago’s very own thecip. His work is a crosshatched extravaganza of cheese, religion, politics, cheese, miscellaneous weirdo stuff, burgers and CHEESE. Awesome, though I have to say that "the Passion Of The Cheddar" still makes me retch.

Also, I love the freedom that we have to PUBlicly voice/post our opinions, ideas, complaints and findings.

The world is full of Pod People who snooze thru life in a mechanical state. Don't be afraid to express yourself (so saith the Reverend).

"...One Nation under God, indivisible, With Liberty and Cheese, Glorious Cheese for all."

Yesterday a friend of mine sent me a link to a video called "Rabbit." He didn't give me any forewarning as to what the video was about, just simply said he was amazed by it. And after watching, I was amazed by it as well. In fact, I watched it about two or three more times.

Then I decided to do a little digging. The video was made by British animator and illustrator Run Wrake and was created by using old educational children's stickers from the 1950's. He also has other really cool animations that are based around music and beats, which he explains in this short interview.

Check out more from Run Wrake at his website.

Could be Michael Mararian's Inky Dreadfuls have been around forever, but I've just seen them....and they give C&C Music YAKtory's Things That Make You Go Hmmm something to talk about. These pieces make you want to laugh and then feel like the worst person on the face of the earth for laughing. I mean, what kind of decent human being could laugh at a baby who is about to be swallowed up by wolves? Not funny. Downright disgusting, if you don't ask me. Shame on you, Inky Dreadfuls. I'm going to shower and shake off your bad vibe...and laugh a little more.

Peep this video that chops and composes the music from Disneys Alice in Wonderland into a beautifully surreal and down-tempo remix. The piece was arranged by Nick Bertke another amazing Deviant Artist who is based in Australia.

Shout out to BoingBoing for the catch.

In a gesture of gross product marketing that is as sickening as iPhone mania, 7-11 is turning 12 of its stores into Kwik-E-Marts for a month-long promo of 'The Simpson's Movie', which comes out July 27. Inside the stores you'll find 'Simpson's' staples such as Buzz Cola, KrustyO's cereal and Squishees.

7-Eleven executives loved the idea. They had surveys showing a strong overlap between their customers and fans of the show — both tend to be young and male. It sounded like cash registers ringing.

"They've been looking at Squishees and KrustyO's and Buzz Cola for years and have never been able to put their hands on it," said Merkel, the advertising executive.

But they won't find Duff beer, the brand chugged by Homer Simpson. The movie will be rated PG-13, and selling a Simpson-themed beer "didn't seem to fit," said Rita Bargerhuff, a 7-Eleven marketing executive. "That was a tough call, but we want to make sure it's considered good, responsible fun."

Bargerhuff predicted extra sales to Simpsons fans will more than offset the cost of the promotion and create new customers for the chain. She also said the chain is prepared for crowds and will have extra security and clerks at the Kwik-E-Marts.

I guess it could be fun but man, advertising executives make me feel dirty. Also, no beer?!?

While she doesn't look as "elderly" as this news story is making her sound, a respectable older woman was caught on film tagging the glass of a bus shelter by a passing motorist in London today.

Delivery man Mike Jones, who witnessed the unlikely scene in a Richmond Road, London, said: "I turned a corner and this tiny granny seemed to be going for it with a marker pen.

It looked like she was doodling these elaborate tags that teenage yobs draw - like there was no tomorrow."

I don't know what's more awesome though, that a "smartly dressed" lady "in a black blazer and sensible shoes, her hair in a neat bun," was caught tagging, or that the witnesses name is Mike Jones (who?).
