Rockstar Games' ‘The Ballad of Gay Tony’ looks like yet another spectacularly cinematic entry in the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ video game series which I won't get to play because I don't have an Xbox 360.

Like the previous biker-centric ‘GTA IV’ expansion episode ‘The Lost and the Damned, ‘The Ballad of Gay Tony’ will be released as an exclusive download for Microsoft's flagship gaming system.

‘The Ballad of Gay Tony’ hits the Xbox 360 on October 29th, and will drop as a retail disc called ‘GTA: Episodes From Liberty City, which will also include ‘The Lost and the Damned, not too long after.

Much like Ron Winter's computer keyboard drum set, the iDaft by Matias Nalje converts your computer into a flash application music machine. But instead of beats, you can type-play the lyrics to "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger." Go nerd out and channel your inner Kanye!

Visual effects artists Ron Winter's website has a link that turns your keyboard (or screen) into a full blown amazing noise/beat/drum box! (click above image)

Man I wish I had this link when I was at a few of my previous jobs. I'd crank up the volume on my computer and go to town, especially when my former loud mouth cubicle neighbor was being obnoxious.

Try typing out words...like pumpernickel.

Enjoy!

Gadgets are kind of evil.

They'e marketed as a way to make life easier and more efficient, but the problem is it never ends.

You buy a gadget and two months later a better version comes out. All of a sudden your beloved gadget has screwed you with a price drop and newly improved features. Then you can either smash it with a hammer (as I prefer to do) and start over or buy some additional gadgets to bring your ancient friend up to speed.

Of course you can always just live with your second rate beloved and pretend it isn't eating you up inside. Who cares anyway, right? It's not like the gadget is running your life. Charles is the only one in charge of our days and our nights and he never mentioned an iPod. So you keep your crap ass laptop/phone/device and spend all day checking out profiles or reading blogs whilst missing face to face conversation with your buds. Pshh...more like unconnected if you ask me, but anyhow my dilemma is this...

I WANT ONE OF THESE KINDLE 2.0 GADGETS SO BAD.

Typographers are doing wheelies in their graves and I feel like an awful human being. I agree that books are a beautiful and complex form of art, but WOWY the Kindle is cool. Can't we all live together?

Scientists have developed a pill that when swallowed sends signals to a 3G phone network about the drug's effect on your body.

The pill still works as an ordinary drug that a patient might take to control a health issue such as heart trouble or a psychiatric disorder.

But it also has digestible sensors that are made of food products and are activated by stomach fluids. Once swallowed, the sensors can send a digital signal through the body to a receiver. The receiver date- and time-stamps, decodes, and records information about the drug and the dosage. It also measures and reports heart rate, activity, and respiratory rate.

Qualcomm is helping connect the receivers, designed as small bandage style skin patches, to 3G phone networks, USA Today reported recently. Patient information can then be sent to hospitals, doctors or relatives.

More poetry from the spambox.

Descended the stairs. The signora then showed and baggage rolling into the water. All the thrashing closed in on him. 'let's start at once. Thank from their drive, and the girls hastened upstairs. Ungovernable little savages, and yet this produced.

In my most recent post I talked about feeling that I was basically wasting my time with architecture. Iron Giant listens to me rant a lot about it at home and last night while we were on our daily walk through our neighborhood I brought up how I wanted to start writing music again, something I haven't done seriously since Newsay split up. I told her this and Iron Giant replied "I was wondering when you were going to say that." We talked about it and I came to the conclusion that my urge to write music was inevitable due to my dissatisfaction with work.

I should be writing music anyway. Now that I have a house and I finally have the space to set my drum kit up *which it is* and my neighbors are somewhat okay with the noise they generate. All my production and recording equipment is sitting there collecting dust and it does bother me to see it not being used. So whether or not anything comes out of it is yet to be decided but I need that output.

Seeing as how I'm strapped for cash I've decided to forgo purchasing drum mics and all the other things I don't have. But I think I've pretty well decided to start looking for a good pair of studio monitors. Well "good" is relative, affordable is more along the lines of what the requirement is. I've been reading a lot of good reviews for these KRK Rokit 5 studio monitors. Have any of you readers had the chance to work with these particular monitors? Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Only Keter will find this as humorous as I do.

BTW. College kids. Buy a Mac...and get a free iPod Touch or Nano.

Still looking for that "Free Pizza" link for PC's. Right now I'd trade my Blacbook for a pizza. I'm starving.

Ok maybe I'm not that hungry. But I'd at least trade an Apple sticker for a slice of Antonio's pesto tortellini pizza.

Super computer savvy hackers have gotten the ol` band back together so-to-speak.

The Rock-afire Explosion was an animatronic robot band that rocked many a pizza parlor in its hay day during the 1980's. Eventually the band broke up when it's biggest competition house band from Chuck E. Cheese moved in on their turf.

But this would not be the end of the backwoods bear band! The long since defunct band has recently been reprogrammed to perform some of today's hottest songs from bands like The White Stripes and Shakira. Yeah yeah... you doubt their ability to cover such hot and different musical acts but peep them covering MGMT's 'Electric Feel'.

I'm not much of a gamer but I rarely turn down an offer to play Nintendo's Wii Console. And apparently I'm not the only one seeing as how you'd be hard pressed to find a Wii at your local electronics or gaming store. Wii's biggest competitors Xbox and Playstation 3 have no doubt been feeling the heat of their stagnant sales over the past year. As a result of this and other economic impacts, Microsoft is reported to be considering lowering the price of their Xbox 360 console to $299 US, just $50 more than the cost of a base Wii console. Turns out that sales of the Xbox 360 were only boosted temporarily by the release of Microsoft's much anticipated first-person shooter Halo 3. I can't afford any of them so it doesn't really matter to me. I'm still playing the first Oddworld.
